Life returning to normalcy in eastern Terai
Life in various terai districts of the eastern Terai region, which remained tense for last few weeks due to violent protest of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) is returning to normalcy.
The protesting MJF called off all protest programmes from Thursday describing the Prime Minister's address as 'positive' to address the demands of Madhesi people.
Marketplaces in city centres opened Friday and transport services also resumed gradually from Friday.
The situation of major eastern cities like Biratnagar, Inaruwa, Janakpur, Birgunj, Lahan and Siraha remained normal Friday after a three week long violent protest.
