ANFA honours U-23, U-17 and U-14 players

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) honoured the national U-23 team with cash prizes along with the national U-17 and U-14 players for their international success at the ANFA complex, Satdobato on Wednesday.

The U-23 team, comprising of 18 players and two coaches, received 50,000 cash each while the U-17 players each received 15,000 while the U-14 players received 10,000 each. National U-17 coach Diken Suwal and Megraj KC also relieved 15,000 each while national U-14 coach Kishor KC and Hari Om Shrestha both received 10,000 each.

ANFA also honored Taekwondo player Deepak Bista with Rs 50,000. The ANFA president had announced cash prizes for U-23 players and Deepak Bista during the SA Games in Colombo.

Former national captain and former IGP Achyut Krishna Kharel, member secretary of National Sports Council Jeewan Ram Shrestha and chief guest Minister for Education and Sports Dr Mangal Siddhi Manandhar gave away the cash prizes to players.

ANFA officials, coaches, national players and journalists were present at the ceremony.

U-23 team: Ritesh Thapa (captain and goalie), Samit Rajbhandari (goalie), Lok Bandu Gurung, Sagar Thapa, Anjan KC, Sandip Rai, Santosh Gurung, Suman Subedi, Bijaya Gurung, Pradip Maharjan, Raju Tamang, Bishan Gauchan, Jeevan Sinkeman, Santosh Sahukhala, Yougal Kishor Rai, Jumanu Rai, Man Sajan Raj Bhandari, Nirajan Khadka and Anil Gurung.

U-17 Team: Rupak Shrestha, Sandip Thapa (goalie), Bikash singh Chhetri (captain), Dipak Bhusal, Biraj Maharjan, Roshan Karki, Prabin Karki, Ranjit Shrestha, Pukar Gahatraj, Anil Ojha, Chetan Ghimire, Bharat Khawas, Amir Shrestha, Nirajan Malla, Laxman Ruchal and Anil Lama.

Coaches: Diken Suwal and Megraj KC

U-14 Team: Jaggu Nath Shrestha, Ram Thapa, Dinesh Thapa, Suman Khadka, Sushil KC, Sujal Shrestha, Bishal Rai, Niraj Magar, Rupesh KC, Prashod Joshi, Rohit Chand, Kobid Karki, Ram Sharan Magar, Bikash Kuwar and Tapan Khadka.
