Yeti Airlines gets international flight permission
The government has permitted Yeti Airlines, a domestic airliner, to launch international flights.
The company has said it has planned services to five of the permitted destinations – Bangkok, Seoul, Lhasa, Sharjah and United Arab Emirates – within this year.
The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation had earlier invited applications from domestic airlines having completed successful operation for five years to operate international services. Yeti Airlines was the only company to apply for the license.
The newly revised aviation policy allows a domestic airliner having at least five years of continued and satisfactory services to expand into the international arena. nepalnews.com ia Feb 21 07
