RPP-Nepal condemns attack on Thapa
The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Nepal has condemned the attack on its district level leader in Butwal on Tuesday.
Students affiliated to eight political parties manhandled former mayor of the Butwal municipality and district level leader of the party Roop Singh Thapa while he was attending a programme organised in Butwal Multiple Campus.
Issuing a press statement, party chairman Rabindra Nath Sharma has demanded action against people involved in the attack.
Sharma alleged that those who are advocating for holding the elections of the constituent assembly by mid June this year, are involved in the acts, which affects the elections.
He described the incident as violation of fundamental rights of the people.
The statement further said that there are less chances of holding the elections of the constituent assembly in a free and fair manner due such acts. nepalnews.com pb Feb 28 07
