Two kids die in Lalitpur road mishap

Two schoolchildren were killed and one was critically injured when a truck ran over a motorbike at Satdobato in Lalitpur Monday morning.

8-year-old Nischal Basnet and 12-year-old Suyasha Khadka died as a truck hit the motorcycle driven by Mohan Basnet, who had been taking the two to their school. Mohan, father of Nischal, was also badly injured in the accident, according to the police.

Nischal died on the spot while Suyasha breathed her last while undergoing treatment at the B&B Hospital at Gywarko. Both were students of Suryodaya Boarding School.

Basnet, a resident of Dhapakhel, Lalitpur, has been undergoing treatment at B&B.
