UML names its new 10 parliamentarians
The CPN-UML has announced the names of ten new representatives of the party in the interim legislature.
The nomination was finalised by the UML standing committee meeting held at party central office on Saturday.
Standing committee members Bam Dev Gautam, Jhala Nath Khanal and Amrit Kumar Bohara will be MPs interim parliament. Other nominees are Paru Devi Yadav (Siraha), wife of late Hem Narayan Yadav, Parbati Chaudhari (Kailali), wife of Chakra Bahadur Dagaura Chaudhary, Shanti Pakhrin (Dolakha), wife of Buddhi Man Pakhrin, Rijwan Ansari (Bara), Chudamani Jangali BK (Kaski), Jayanti Rai (Bhojpur) and Rima Nepali (Rolpa).
Other parties are also holding meeting to select their representatives in the interim parliament. The government had asked to provide the list of the nominees by Sunday 8 am before the cabinet finalises the interim constitution to be tabled before the parliament.
The constitution is to be approved by the current House of Representatives and endorsed by the interim parliament on January 15. nepalnews.com ia Jan 13 07
