CPN-UML elects Nepal as party leader in interim legislature
The parliamentary party meeting of the CPN-UML has elected general secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal as the party's leader in the newly formed interim legislature.
Nepal was the CPN-UML party leader in the recently dissolved House of Representatives, too.
The party elected standing committee member Bharat Mohan Adhikari as the deputy leader of the party in the parliament.
Likewise, MP Mahendra Bahadur Pandey and Parshuram Meghi Gurung have been elected as the chief whip and whip, respectively, of the party in the interim parliament.
UML has also decided to play effective role in the interim parliament. The party has vowed to play its role for successfully holding the elections of the Constituent Assembly by mid-June this year. nepalnews.com pb Jan 18 07
