Maoists stick with their demands for ambassadorial posts
Maoists have said they will not be content without getting to name their envoy in at least one of the four key countries.
CP Gajurel, chief of the party's international relations cell, told Nepal Samacharpatra that they must get to name envoy in at least one of the four countries including India, China, the United States and the United Kingdom. "That is why there has been delay in ambassadorial appointments," he said.
"Other seven parties selected their nominees in these countries without consulting with us. Perhaps they are finding it difficult to withdraw those names. That is the cause for the delay," he said.
Gajurel said that if Maoist are allocated altogether four countries including one of the afore-mentioned four countries, then the issue could be settled. "We want this to happen before the Election Code of Conduct is enforced," he added. nepalnews.com sd Jul 30 07
