Cabinet meeting deferred again
The regular meeting of the Council of Ministers could not take place on Monday owing to 'bad health' of Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala.
The cabinet meeting was to be held at Koirala’s official residence in Baluwatar at 8:30 am. The ministers were informed moments earlier that the meeting had been deferred.
Friday’s cabinet meeting was also cancelled due Koirala's bad health. An emergency cabinet meeting was called on Sunday to review the government’s relief and rescue operations in flood-hit Terai districts.
However, the ailing Prime Minister met a delegation of Tribhuvan University professors at his residence in the afternoon. Members of the delegation said the Prime Minister assured to appoint officials in the vacant university posts. nepalnews.com mk July 30 07
