NA steps up rescue and relief operations
The Nepali Army (NA) has stepped up its relief and rescue operations to help the victims of flood in various districts of the country.
The statement issued by NA stated that it has transported food items to Dhanusha and Mahottari districts to distribute to the victims. Likewise, NA soldiers are working to repair the damaged Bhim dam in Saptari district.
The NA soldiers are also engaged in rescuing the stranded people at Rajapur of Bardiya district. They are also similarly engaged in rescue efforts in Nepalgunj, Gulmi and Nawalparasi.
Meanwhile, the NA officers from general to second lieutenants have decided to deposit Rs 3.4 million at the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund to help the flood victims. nepalnews.com sd Jul 30 07
