Working Journalists Association launched

Journalists working in various media organisations have floated a Working Journalist Association.

The association has pointed out that in order to enhance rights and interests of working journalists, all workers, employees and journalists working in media organizations should be united.

The association has also concluded that there should be a single trade union of the whole working force of media.

According to a press release issued by the association, it has formed a 19-member working committee chaired by Raj Kumar Regmi. Rajendra Raj Timilsina is the vice president, Subas Devkota is the general secretary of the association and Saroj Khanal is the treasurer.
