ANNFSU vandalises Finance Ministry

Activists of Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) affiliated student wing All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) resorted to vandalism at the Ministry of Finance, on Monday, protesting the attitude of Minister.

The student activists had gone to the Ministry in order to meet with the Minister for Finance Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat to demand increase in budget for education. The Ministry is engaged in preparations for the budget for fiscal year 2007/08.

They had reached the ministry but were kept waiting for over one and a half hours by the minister.

Enraged at the Minister's behavior, the activists vandalised furniture at the ministry room where they were kept waiting.
