CoAS presents insignia to newly promoted army generals

Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) Rukamangad Katawal presented insignia to recently promoted Major Generals of the Nepal Army (NA) amidst a function held at the Army Headquarter on Wednesday.

A press statement issued by the Directorate of Public Relations of the NA said five Brigadier Generals were promoted to Major Generals by a cabinet decision of 15th March.

Those promoted to Major General are: Toran Jung Bahadur Singh, Pawan Jung Thapa, Gaurav Shumsher JB Rana, Anil Jung Thapa and Ananta Bahadur Thebe.

Thebe is currently holding the responsibility of army spokesperson.
