Nine killed in Gulmi accident; death toll in Sindhupalchowk accident climbs to 8

At least nine persons have been killed after a bus they were traveling in met with an accident in Gulmi district on Friday. Sixteen passengers were injured in the accident.

The bus - with the registration number Lu 1 Kha 3734 - was traveling from Butwal to Baglung via Gulmi. It met with an accident in Myagpokhari area of Gulmi district at 3:30 pm.

Injured persons have been rushed to Mission hospital in Palpa.

Meanwhile, the death toll of the bus accident in Sirsire area in Barhabise section of Araniko highway on Thursday has climbed to eight after three persons died in hospital during treatment on Friday. Ten more persons are feared missing in Bhotekosi river since the accident, say reports.

In yet another accident, 38 passengers were injured when a bus coming to Kathmandu from Gagalphedi slipped down the road in Thali area on Friday morning. nepalnews.com sd May 11 07
