Prachanda meets with EU envoys, CA polls discussed
Maoist chairman Prachanda, accompanied by Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, visited the German Embassy on Friday where he held a meeting with a delegation of European envoys led by German ambassador to Nepal, Franz Ring.
The meeting was held by the European envoys in order to draw the attention of Maoist leaders towards worsening political situation.
"We fear that it might not be possible to hold free and fear election because of deteriorating political situation," Ring told reporters. He added, "There were also quite some concerns over YCL."
Prachanda later said that the European envoys raised concerns about CA elections and the eight party meeting. "After I told them that eight party meeting is taking place on Saturday, they were quite positive," he said. nepalnews.com sd May 25 07
