Speaker Subash Nemwang has expressed confidence that the session of the legislative parliament that remains stalled since past two months would convene from Wednesday.
Nemwang said this to media persons in the eastern town of Biratnagar Sunday morning, a day after the Parliament Secretariat suspended the parliament session till Wednesday (May 30) after continuous protests by Madhesi lawmakers.
Saying that he is holding serious discussions with the legislators of the disgruntled sides to end the parliamentary deadlock, for which the Maoists including Madheshi and RPP parliamentarians have already promised to allow business in the House, Nemwang said there was nothing stopping the parliament from resuming on Wednesday.
He further said that immediately after returning to Kathmandu tomorrow he would hold additional talks with all concerned sides on ending the parliamentary deadlock. nepalnews.com ag May 27 07
