Govt allocates reservations in Nepal Police, APF

The government has decided to allocate 45 percent reservation to Janajatis, Madhesis, women, Dalit and people from backward area in the vacant posts of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force (APF).

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar Wednesday afternoon approved separate set of regulations concerning the Nepal Police and the APF, which ensure the quotas in future recruitments.

Out of the reserved seats, Janajatis will get 32 percent seats, Madhesis 28 percent, women 20 percent, Dalits 15 percent and people from backward areas 5 percent.
