Unidentified group plant bombs in school

Notwithstanding the call for declaring schools as peace zones and the death of two students in the recent triple blasts in Kathmandu, an unidentified group planted two sockets bombs at the premises of Kadambari Academy School located nearby the Birgunj sub metropolitan powerhouse Friday.

Panic spread among the people of ward no. 16 of Birgunj sub metropolitan city after they learned about the bomb. It only subsided after a police team came and defused the bomb.

Police said they are yet to confirm the people behind the incident, but suspect criminal groups from the bordering Indian towns of being behind the incident.

From the past some time, businessmen as well as locals of Birgunj have been greatly pestered by criminal groups from across the border. nepalnews.com ag Sep 07 07
