Congress student wing to start election campaign
At a time when the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) has been urging the political parties to escalate their election campaign activities for the November 22 polls, the student wing of the Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to kick off the campaign by raising the slogan of democratic republic.
A few days after the NC central working committee decided to adopt the line of federal democratic republic for the coming election, the Nepal Student Union (NSU) said it will start the campaign to ask for votes for NC.
Addressing a press meet on Friday, NSU president Pradeep Poudel said the NC decision was a historic one.
The NSU has formed a committee led by Poudel to carry out election campaigning. The NSU has also announced to organise voters awareness programme from September 10 across the country. nepalnews.com sd Sep 08 07
