Rana roots for timely polls
Asking the eight party government to create environment conducive for free and fair election, president of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Pashupati SJB Rana has warned that his party will agitate if election is not held on time.
Announcing that his party has decided to actively take part in the Constituent Assembly (CA) election, Rana instructed his party workers to prepare for the polls. Addressing a party function in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur on Saturday, Rana told his party workers to organise countrywide agitation if the election is disrupted.
Rana also took a swipe at eight parties claiming that they were not in a mood to accept the existence of any other party. "They have abandoned the democratic norm of tolerance and acceptance," he said. "With the end of one King's rule, there has emerged the rule of eight Kings," he added.
Rana also appealed to all the factions that had earlier split from RPP to come together for unification. His appeal has come at a time when there are efforts being made to unite RPP and Surya Bahadur Thapa-led Rastriya Janashakti Party (RJP). nepalnews.com sd Sep 09 07
