Counting stalled in Birgunj
Vote counting in Birgunj has been stalled in constituencies 3 and 5 after the Nepali Congress filed complaints with the district election office.
The party complained about the code of conduct violations in those constituencies. The election officials said counting of the ballots will resume soon.
In the meantime, a bomb exploded inside the compound of the vote counting building in Birgunj. Unidentified persons hurled the bomb from outside the compound and ran away.
