NC to take stock of its defeat
Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba
has said that his party will now take stock of its
electoral defeat across the nation.
He has urged district committees to collect data and
reasons for the party's defeat and submit the same to
the center within two weeks.
Speaking to party workers in Mahendranagar, former
prime minister Deuba said that the party's central
committee would discuss the issue and formulate future
strategies to strengthen the party.
He also accused the Maoists of using intimidation, and
threat across the country. "Voters were forced to vote
against NC despite their desire to do so," he said.
Deuba said NC lost this election like it did during
the national referendum of 1980. "NC did not lose; it
was made to lose," he said. nepalnews.com sd Apr 16 08
