Family members claim 25 died in Rautahat bomb blast
More than 25 people died in a bomb explosion that took place in Rautahat
on April 9, claimed the family members of the victims.
Organising a press conference in the capital city Thursday, they accused the
explosion was carried out by Nepali Congress (NC) candidate for Rautahat
constituency-2 Mohammed Aftab Alam who was later elected as the
Constituent Assembly member from there.
Naryan Singh, father of one Trilok Pratap Singh who died in the explosion,
told National News Agency that his son was forcibly taken to capture a
booth in one of the polling centers and later when he went looking
after him he found his son to have died in a bomb explosion.
Singh complained that the district administration turned a deaf ear when
he informed about this incident to them.
Issuing a press release, the CPN-UML and Maoist candidates in the
constituency -- Shailendra Saha and Surendra Prasad Jaiswal -- have
demanded that Alam should be stripped off his CA membership.nepalnews.com ag Apr 25 08
