UML advisors suggest party not to give up alliance; students urge it stay out of govt

The advisors of the UML have advised their party leaders not to veer away from the past agreements of working in coalition among the parliamentarian parties.

The two-day long meeting of the party advisors concluded on Friday stating that there is no alternative for UML to continue with the cooperation among the parliamentary forces despite the electoral loss to the party.

The group reminded the party leadership of their commitments for cooperation among the party as mentioned in the party manifesto.

Meanwhile, student wing of the party All Nepal National Free Student Union (ANNFSU) has asked the party not to join the government to be formed under Maoist leadership at a time when Maoist atrocities have continued.

It has demanded dissolution of the standing committee and central committee of the party and announcement of new date for the general convention.

It has also demanded disbanding of all militant parallel organizations of the Maoists. nepalnews.com ia/sd Apr 25 08
