Election fever has gripped journalists as the date for national convention of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) approaches nearer.
The convention, scheduled for May 3-4, will elect new officers for the next three-year term. Around 100 journalists have announced their candidacies for 27 central committee posts. Campaigning has already begun.
Kulchandra Wagle, Dharmendra Jha, Mahendra Bista, Shiva Gaule and Shital Koirala are vying for the post of president while Govinda Acharya, Balaram Baniya and Kedar Koirala are contesting for the vice-president post.
