One killed in blast at Maoist lawmaker's house

A family member of Binod Kumar Upadhyaya, a member of the interim parliament from the CPN-Maoist, was killed in a bomb blast carried out by unidentified persons in Bodhbar VDC-3 of Rupandehi district late Tuesday night.

Binod's uncle Surendra Uyadhyaya was killed in the blast that took place inside Binod's house, reports said. Surendra had gone to Binod's house after hearing a noise of unidentified people around the house.

The gang barged into the house around midnight, dragged Binod's wife and daughter outside the house and denoted the bomb.
