PM Dahal meets with Norwegian minister, Indian envoy
As he assumed his official duties a day after he took the oath of office as the first prime minister of republic Nepal, Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' met with the visiting Norwegian minister at his office in Singh Durbar, Tuesday.
The Norwegian Minister for Environment and International Development Erik Solheim met with the new PM. Details of their discussions have not yet been made public.
Solheim, who arrived in Kathmandu on Monday on a two-day visit, had traveled to eastern district of Mahottari on Monday where he inspected the situation of flood victims.
On Tuesday, he met with top political leaders. He is to address a press meet, Tuesday, before returning home.
Earlier, Indian ambassador Rakesh Sood also met with PM Dahal to discuss about bilateral relations and Nepali politics.
On Tuesday afternoon, PM Dahal is expected to give directives to all the government secretaries regarding the plans and policies of the new government.
PM Dahal is expected to shift to his official residence at Baluwatar on Wednesday. nepalnews.com sd Aug 19 08
