PM promises to form an 'inclusive' cabinet

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has promised to form an inclusive cabinet within a few days.

During his interaction with representatives of Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities, Wednesday morning, PM Dahal assured them that he will ensure the inclusive composition in the cabinet by including women, Janajatis and so on.

He added that the new Nepal needs to be inclusive, which will be reflected in the cabinet.

After meeting with the PM, general secretary of the federation, Ram Bahadur Thapa said that the PM has appealed to all the ethnic community to support his government in building new Nepal.

Thapa said that the delegation members of the federation also wished all the best for the new PM.

Meanwhile, in his first joint interaction with senior government officials Tuesday, PM Dahal has directed them to work earnestly.

Stating that the first duty of the government will be to provide relief to the people and end impunity, PM Dahal sought the cooperation from the bureaucracy.

He also sought to reassure the officials by saying that he doesn't intend to harbour any prejudice.

"Nobody will be discriminated on the basis of their belief. If you have any prejudice, you should also abandon that in order to make the government successful," he said.

Pointing at the huge public expectations from the government, the Prime Minister urged the officials to become sensitive and extend active support in implementing government policies. nepalnews.com sd Aug 20 08
