CMP to be unveiled

The alliance of three parties – Maoists, Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) and Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) – is set to unveil their Common Minimum Programme (CMP) along with forming the cabinet, Thursday.

According to UML leader Bhim Rawal, the draft of CMP has already been finalised. “It will be unveiled once the cabinet composition is finalised,” he said.

The CMP includes provisions for providing relief to the people, implementing past agreements, writing a federal democratic constitution, state restructuring and so on.

Immediately after he took charge of office, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ also promised that the first priority of the government will be to provide immediate relief to the people. nepalnews.com Aug 21 08
