President Yadav in Sunsari to inspect flood-hit areas
President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav visited Sunsari to inspect the
flood-affected areas in the district on Monday.
President Yadav met government officials and regional heads of security
agencies and took stock of the relief and rescue works being carried out
in the region. He also talked to some of the flood victims, inquiring
about the problems facing them in the camps.
He directed the government officials to leave no stone unturned in
providing emergency relief aid to the flood victims.
The President also carried out aerial inspection of the flood-hit areas.
He was accompanied by senior government officials during the visit.
Meanwhile, Sunsari District Administration Office has informed that around
35,000 people have been 'affected' by the flood resulting from the
breakdown of embankments in Saptakoshi river.
Many of the affected people are seeking shelter in Inaruwa and also in
