NCC delegation urges FM to ensure industrial security
Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) has demanded industrial security to boost
the ailing economy that was hit hard by decade-long insurgency.
A delegation of NCC led by its president Surendra Bir Malakar met Finance
Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai, who is also the acting prime minister,
Tuesday and submitted suggestions for the upcoming budget.
NCC suggested the new government to adopt flexible labour regulations and
laws that would warm the management-worker relations in the industries.
The delegation also urged the government for implementation of the
commitments expressed in the PM's address to the nation and agreement
reached among three parties - CPN (Maoist), Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF)
and CPN (UML).
In response, FM Bhattarai repeated the government's commitment to work
hand in hand with the private sector for drastic economic changes in the
country.
Dr Bhattarai asked the industrialists to make more investment without any
suspicion on the Maoist led government. nepalnews.com ia Aug 26 08
