CA committees to be formed today

The various thematic committees under the Constituent Assembly (CA) are likely to be formed Monday.

The path to form the committees was cleared as all the parties submitted the list of their nominees as members of those committees.

There will be fourteen Constituent Assembly committees and nine legislative parliament committee apart from one more committee headed by CA chair.

"The process to form committees will be carried out on Monday," said Mukunda Sharma, spokesperson of CA Secretariat.

"We have designated staffs and arranged for physical facilities so that the committees can work earnestly from Tuesday," said Subas Nemwang, chairman of CA.

Meanwhile, the political parties are yet to start consultations to choose chairpersons for each of the two dozen committees.
