Govt declares power crisis, load-shedding to go up
Consumers already reeling with 10 hours of load-shedding a day are in for additional dark hours.
The government has declared nation-wide power crisis and announced an increase in the load-shedding hours Thursday.
Organising a press conference today, Minster of Water Resources Bisnhu Poudel said that from Sunday onwards consumers will be facing 12-14 hours of load-shedding a day.
The government also banned use of electricity in hoarding boards about the city, as part of a further measure to conserve electricity which has become a very scarce commodity. nepalnews.com Dec 25 08
