India grants Rs 21.5 million to Bara school
The Indian Embassy has provided Rs 21.54 million for construction of a school building in Bara district.
T. Ashok, Consul General at the CGI in Birgunj, laid the foundation stone of the new building of Shree Nepal Rastriya Secondary School in Piparapati Pachrauta VDC-8 of district Bara district on Thursday.
The school situated at Piparpati Pachrauta VDC-8 of Bara was established in 1947 as lower secondary school and upgraded to higher secondary in 1985. The school is presently holding classes for over 1100 students coming from 7 VDCs of the district in an old and inadequate building.
This project is being implemented by DDC Bara while an oversight committee consisting of representatives from the school management committee, DDC and the District Education Office has been constituted to ensure community participation in overseeing the project for their effective and timely implementation. nepalnews.com Jan 17 08
