Smaller parties up in arms over CA imbroglio
The thirteen smaller parties represented at the Constituent Assembly (CA) have deplored the bigger parties for failing to resume the CA meeting.
Of the 25 parties represented at the CA, the thirteen smaller ones have accused the bigger ones of hijacking their right to speech and freedom of expression by forcefully stalling the CA process.
They were referring to the weeklong deadlock at CA due to demands by Madhesi parties.
At a press meet, Thursday, the thirteen parties also stated their unequivocal opposition against the demand for single Madhes province.
The thirteen parties have demanded that the sovereign CA be allowed to discuss and finalise all the past agreements.
The thirteen parties include Rastriya Janashakti Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, CPN-Ekikrit, Rastriya Janamukti Party, RPP-Nepal, Nepa Rastriya Party, Pariwar Dal, Samajbadi Prajatantrik Janata Party, Nepal Loktantrik Samajbadi Dal, Chure Bhawar Rastriya Ekata Party, Nepali Janata Dal, Sanghiya Loktantrik Rastriya Manch, and Dalit Janajati Party. nepalnews.com sd Jul 04 08
