JTMM shoot businessman dead
Cadres of Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha (JTMM) on Thursday shot dead local businessman Bir Bahadur Shrestha after abducting him in Mohattari district.
Police later recovered Shrestha's body from a jungle nearby Manohari river in Kisanpur VDC of the district.
The condition and whereabouts of Shyam Gupta, another businessman who was abducted along with Shrestha, is still unknown. Gupta has a hardware store in Gausahal Bazaar.
A group of armed men had abducted the two businessmen from a place called Aurahi in Bardibas-Jaleshwor road section of Mohattari while they returning home on their motorcycles.
In a similar report, a group of armed dacoits Wednesday night shot dead local businessman Atmaram Agrawal, 55, at Bhudlabari Bazaar of Kakadbhitta.
Agrawal, a proprietor of Sankatmochan Store in the Bazaar was shot dead as he tried to retaliate against the dacoits.
Agrawal's wife Ashadevi was injured after dacoits hit her with rifle butts while neighbor Ramesh Shrestha sustained shrapnel injuries. nepalnews.com ag July 4 08
