New govt within a week: Maoist chief
Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said there will be a new government in a week's time.
Talking to reporters after the meeting of the seven parties in Singha Durbar Tuesday afternoon, the Maoist
chairman said the parties had achieved a major breakthrough by reaching a consensus on the Madhesi
parties' demands and that this development had paved the way for formation of new government.
"New government will be in place within a week," he asserted. Asked whether there was any change regarding his
proposed premiership, the Maoist supremo said, "It's not an issue whether I lead the government or not."
Dahal further said the Nepali Congress should also join the government as no political party should be in the
