NEPSE makes a recovery
A week after suffering a major loss not seen in months, the stock market rebounded again and posted a healthy 22.59 points over the week to end at 949.52 points.
Trade analysts attributed the recovery to investors taking the previous week's fall as a buying opportunity.
The total turnover stood at Rs 408.8 million with 614,064 units of shares having traded. Market-watchers said investors were buying on speculation, lured by profits made by others.
According to group-wise share trading data provided by NEPSE, the banking sector, hydropower sector, finance sector, hotel and manufacturing sectors including development bank sector all saw hefty increase while the insurance sector was the sole loser this week. nepalnews.com July 13 08
