Japanese Deputy FM arrives
Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Osamu Uno arrived in
Kathmandu on a three-day official visit to Nepal
Wednesday.
The Japanese Deputy FM is scheduled to meet Prime
Minister Girija Prasad Koirala and CPN-Maoist Chairman
Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' today to discuss the
bilateral relations, especially the matters concerning
Japan's development assistance to Nepal.
During his stay here, Uno will also meet CPN-UML General
Secretary Jhal Nath Khanal, leaders of Nepali Congress,
Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) and few other party leaders
and ministers Ram Chandra Paudel and Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat,
the Japanese embassy said.
He is also scheduled to sign an agreement on improvement
of the Kathmandu-Bhaktapur road with Finance Minister Dr.
