Ex-King to hold press meet today

Ex-King Gyanendra is holding a press meet at the Narayanhiti palace at around 5 in the evening, Wednesday, before he leaves for Nagarjuna palace.

Sources have said that he will read out a brief press statement in which he is expected to explain his side of the story including his perspective on the unfolding events leading up to the abolishment of monarchy.

He will leave Narayanhiti palace in the evening after the press meet and go to Nagarjuna palace. The government has already permitted him to stay in the Nagarjuna for the time being.
