Maoist ministers' resignation will not be forwarded to PM for the time being
The Maoist leadership has decided not to forward the resignations by the Maoist ministers to the Prime Minister for the time being.
The Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has decided to keep their resignation letters with himself as he believes that the understanding with the parties is being evolved.
On Thursday, ministers representing the party had handed over their resignation from the Koirala-led government to Prachanda.
The Maoists have five ministers and two state ministers in the government.
The Maoists and other main parties including Nepali Congress and Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) are currently locked in a debate over power-sharing issues delaying the formation of the new government. Besides, the other parties have also demanded that the issue of army integration should be settled before letting the Maoist form the next government under their leadership. nepalnews.com sd Jun 13 08
