After posting double-digit growths for much of the past one month, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index cooled off slightly as it registered a modest growth of 4.50 points over the week to close at 951.62 points.

The turnover stood at 653.9 million over the week, with 787,812 units of shares having traded over the week.
According to the data provided by NEPSE, commercial banks' group has been replaced by finance companies' as the top earner this week as the latter's index grew by 16.58 points to close at 1,081.87 points. The index of commercial banks added 5.41 points to end at 979.64 points.
However, the insurance group, development bank, trading group, hotel and hydropower sector all stayed in a declining territory. nepalnews.com ag June 29 08
