Re 1 loan for CA election
Residents of Alapot and Gagalfedi have decided to provide a 'loan' of Re 1 each to Rameshwor Phuyal who is running for the Constituent Assembly elections from their village, reports Kantipur Daily.
The former vice-president of the District Development Committee who is contesting from Kathmandu-3 with a CPN-UML ticket had requested such 'a loan' for 'people's representation in the politics and economic discipline'.
"Both the villages have promised to provide me an assistance of Re 1 from each voter," he said.
The local residents have told him that he doesn't need to pay back the loan they have given to him but at the same time have made him promise that he should always be honest towards the people. nepalnews.com ag Mar 08 08
