Members of the Maoist youth wing, Young Communist League (YCL), have attempted to bar Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) chairman Pashupati Shumsher Rana from attending a publicity campaign in his election constituency in Sindhupalchowk on Saturday.
Rana told reporters in Sindhupalchowk that a group of YCL men tried to stop him at Khande Khola this morning when he was on the way to Largecha to attend the election campaign.
Reports said Rana was accompanied by a few party workers and security guards when the YCL men tried to prevent him from going to the programme venue, but there was no physical encounter between the two sides.
