The general secretary of Unified Marxist Leninist
(UML) Madhav Kumar Nepal has ridiculed the Maoists for
campaigning to make their party chairman Prachanda as
the president.
"The entire country is geared to make new constitution
through Constituent Assembly but they are busy making
him president of the wall," Nepal said referring to
spate of wall painting by Maoists projecting Prachanda
as first president of republican Nepal.
"They (Maoists) should know that the CA is not about
making anyone president. It is about writing a new
constitution," Nepal said, addressing an election
rally in Santapur of Rautahat district, Monday.
He said that UML will emerge as the largest party
after election. He added that even international
community have calculated that his party will be the
largest winner in the coming election.
Nepal is contesting from constituency 6 of Rautahat
district for the April 10 election. nepalnews.com sd
