Maoist workers kidnap RPP workers
Workers of Maoist party abducted, and later freed, two workers of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) in Chitwan district on Wednesday.
They barged into the election programme held by RPP in Dibyanagar VDC around noon and abducted Shiva Narayan Chaudhary and Bikram Mahato.
The abducted persons were freed by security personnel after four hours. While Maoist district leaders have said they did not have any plan to foil the election rally of any party, the RPP has issued a statement condemning the abduction.
Meanwhile, Surya Bahadur Thapa, president of Rastriya Janashakti Party (RJP) has flayed the Maoists for obstructing his party workers from entering into Dhankuta district.
"The culprits must face action as per the law," he said at a press meet on Wednesday.
