Prachanda says Maoists will contest election on the plank of 'new thought'
Maoist chairman Prachanda has said that the Maoists will contest the forthcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) election based not on violence but on 'new thought.'
Addressing an election rally in Libang of Rolpa district, Saturday, Prachanda said 'old parties' will not be able to steer the nation in right course through the CA.
He also did not lose the opportunity to fire a salvo at the Unified Marxist Leninist (UML). He charged the UML of shying away from forging leftist alliance in order to make the United States happy.
Prachanda, who is contesting the election also from Rolpa constituency number 2, claimed there would be an end to foreign interference after the CA election.
After the initial campaigning in Kathmandu constituency number 10, Prachanda has now traveled to Rolpa. He is contesting the April 10 election from two constituencies. nepalnews.com sd Mar 15 08
