RPP-Nepal party office vandalised

Maoists have vandalised and locked the party office of RPP-Nepal in Rolpa district on Wednesday.

Maoists cadres, who had gathered for the funeral ceremony of one of the two cadres murdered on Tuesday evening by unidentified people vandalized the party office and burnt all the documents and banner of the party. They have also padlocked the party office.

The Maoists also warned office secretary of the party Govinda Balami to leave the district within a week and warned of physical action if he defies the order. The candidates of RPP-Nepal Yagna Bahadur Balami and Tika Bahadur Oli are residing out of the district due to the Maoist fear. The Maoists have alleged that royalist forces are behind the murder of their cadres.

The act come in less than a week after Maoist chairman Prachanda, during his political campaign in the Rolpa district, said that as the world community is watching the political developments in Rolpa and directed party cadres to make the election free and fair.

Prachand is contesting the CA poll from constituency number 2 of Rolpa along with constituency number 10 of Kathmandu.
