UML strongman fires another salvo at Maoists

The general secretary of Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) Madhav Kumar Nepal has asked the Maoists to behave in 'civilised' manner.

Addressing a function at the UML headquarters in Balkhu, Thursday, Nepal said that the Maoists must shed off their arrogant attitude.

"They must end such attitude and start behaving in a civilised manner," he said.

"Otherwise, they will only lose votes. If they intimidate one person, they will lose 100 votes and if they intimidate 100 persons, they will lose 1000 votes," he said.

Nepal's comments have come in the wake of reports of attacks against UML cadres by Maoist cadres in different parts of the country in recent days. nepalnews.com sd Mar 20 08
