Pakistan announces 27 players for Nep-Pak Clash; Akhtar Mohiuddin appointed as head coach

Pakistan Football Federation (PFF)'s President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat has appointed Akhtar Mohiuddin as head coach of Pakistan national football team for the friendly clash against Nepal.  
 
Gohar Zaman will act as coach while another former star of ABL, goal-keeper Noman Ibrahim has been asked to be the goal-keeper coach. Islamabad's Irfan Khan Niazi, a gold medalist in 10th SA Games two years ago, will manage the team. Kamran Mehdi will be the physiotherapist
 
The team will be announced on 21 March.

The current 27 players are as follows: 

Goal-keepers (5) : Amir Qureshi, Ghulam Nabi (KRL), Syed Sultan Ali, Bilal Rafiq (PIA),  Iltaf Ahmed (UK)
 
Defenders (8) :  Muhammad Ahmed, Kamran Khan (KRL), Jamshed Anwar (WAPDA), Muhammad Haji, Muhammad Irfan (PIA), Abbas Ali (NBP),  Muhammad Shahid (WAPDA), Muhammad  Imran (Army)
 
Midfielders (8) : Muhammad Essa, Shahid Ahmed (KRL), Imran Niazi, Zahid Hameed (WAPDA), Farooq Shah, Atiq Ullah (NBP), Michael Masih (Army), Atif Bashir (Haverfordwest County AFC, Wales)
 
Strikers (6) :  Muhammad  Qasim, Muhammad Rasool (KRL), Sajjad Ahmed (Navy), Naimat Ullah (PTV), Abdul Rehman (KPT), Imran Hashmi (PIA).

The Pakistani soccer team is scheduled to arrive on March 24 in Kathmandu.

Pakistan and Nepal will face each other in two-match international football series in the last week of March. nepalnews.com bt Mar 21 08
